The phase 2 of the living incomes project conducted 11 case studies during 2024 with local organizations leading the analysis.

The Toolkit
The toolkit on the Living Income methodology consisted of :
- A guideline on the methodology
- A step-by-step tutorial
- Data input table
- Case study report templates.

The summary document presents common challenges by waste pickers, suggested actions for the Fair Circularity Initiative, and an overview of the 11 case studies.
Key insight
Across all the 11 case studies, waste pickers earned less than what was considered a living income required for a decent life.
