Resources

The Fair Circularity Initiative collaborates with and shares expertise across industry to create an enabling environment for change and to increase the recognition of and respect for workers in the informal waste sector and their critical role in circular value chains.

In order to support the FCI’s mission and vision, we have commissioned the following papers:

  • Fair Circularity Initiative and Systemiq, (2023), The Imperative for living income in the informal waste sector: – a proposed methodology to assess the living income of informal waste workers in the context of the plastic treaty
  • Fair Circularity Initiative and Systemiq, (2023) Living Income Highlights paper: a summary paper of The Imperative for a living income in the informal waste sector
  • Shift, (2022), Executive Summary: Principles for Corporate Engagement with the Informal Waste Sector – Applying the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
